After leaving Falcon,I studied medicine at the University of Cape Town, returned to Bulawayo, to Mpilo hospital for a few years, then migrated back to South Africa to work at a mission hospital in the Ciskei. I soon realized I needed to specialize and returned to UCT to train in surgery but eventually specialized in anaesthesia. With Bridget, whom I met as a student at UCT and married, we settled in Cape Town and raised a family. We are both semi retired now and travel a lot to keep up with our children and grandchildren who are in Cape Town, the UK and Perth. What is hedgehog?
