Roll of Honour

This is a list of Falconians who made the ultimate sacrifice during the bush war in the 1970s. To pre-empt anyone who might be thinking this, this page is not here to glorify war in any way, shape or form, merely to remember, with appreciation and pride, those who gave their lives as part of the effort to protect us all. I was at Falcon during much of this time and vividly remember the daily communiques and the very real awareness of what these guys and others were doing on our behalf. On Remembrance Sunday in the UK, when I stand silent with everyone else at our local war memorial, it is these guys below I am mainly thinking of in the 2-minute silence.

Colin Bewes, Hervey 1975-1979

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
