Anne Robinson, 1972

Many of us Falcons will remember Whites Run, one of a few vividly recalled legendary cross country runs. At the end of this run was the farm “Ntabanende”, home of the Robinsons, a typical Rhodesian farm with gracious wrap-around verandah, numerous loved animals and a wonderful mix of sound farming techniques with the freedom to explore and discover for all those who were fortunate enough to be touched by it.

Sadly, in April 2015, Anne, daughter of Douglas and Olive Mary Robinson and much loved sister to Richard and Will, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and dogs.

Will was fortunate enough to have spent some precious time with Anne in January this year touring Zimbabwe visiting familiar places from their past.Anne touched so many lives over six decades.

One of few Falcon Old Girls (1972) and married to FOB Nigel Lowe, Anne will be missed dearly by current friends, past friends and family that remember a special spirit taken far too early.

Rest in peace Anne.

Had two weeks hols after Falcon, then joined the BSAP for a 2-year contract; did Police Display, horse escorts & a posting to Inyanga (hardship huh!), then bought myself out in June '81. Moved to UK a month later, did a course in advertising and marketing, then got a job with a small ad agency in Wimbledon before moving to my current job with Grass Roots Group, where I design processes for motivation websites. Home life = wife Nicola + 4 daughters & 2 sons; also help out at my local lifeboat station, and am keen on photography (www.flickr.com/photos/bushtick), singing with a chamber choir and a bit on the side for the Falcon Old Boys.
